New Reflections and Actions

Public awareness and dialogue are crucial for our ability to adapt and respond to new social issues, such as digital security and the need for a new urban social contract. The following blogposts, articles, videos, and podcasts are the result of extensive collaboration and dialogue between different stakeholders on current and future actions that can be taken to rethink the social contract in the digital age. They address issues such as ethics in artificial intelligence policy, smart cities, public awareness of the surveillance society, and alternative uses of digital and surveillance technology. They also explore ideas for developing a new social contract and the difficult yet necessary collective conversations that are needed to create a society that allows us to co-exist in a harmonious, safe, and productive way. These documents show the need for people around the world to tackle issues of trust, data, safety, and cooperation head on.
