As a pop-up institute, our plan was always to be temporary. This philosophy enabled us to scale up and replicate our methodology and projects in different cities, forging connections and sparking conversations along the way, while generating valuable insights and initiatives.
From January 2025 to July 2026, Edgelands embarked on its final journey, a deliberate process of both Popping Down and Popping Beyond. We designed this process to ensure that the Institute concluded as intended, while also creating opportunities for initiatives to continue beyond its closure.
Now, as the Institute officially Pops Down, we invite you to step into its Pop-Beyond home.
This space is open for you to explore the three pillars of Edgelands: The Institute, where you can discover our story and methodology; The Archive, a hybrid collection designed not just to preserve our history, but also to inspire future action and new structures; and The Network, a living visualisation of the people who brought Edgelands to life.
